AI Policy

AI USAGE POLICIES FOR PRODUCTION/POST-PRODUCTION

This set of artificial intelligence (AI) policies shall be applicable to Pine Coast Media Enterprises and all Pine Coast-subsidiary companies, including Gemini Entertainment Group.

Pillar: Pine Coast production companies will remain production companies that value human artistry over the use of artificial intelligence. At Pine Coast Media Enterprises, we are fully devoted to preserving and celebrating human creativity. While we acknowledge that AI technology can enhance efficiency and affordability in production, our primary focus will always remain on the artistry, emotion, and authenticity that only humans can create.

Commitment to Human Performance

We are committed to employing human actors in all roles. AI-generated performers will never replace living actors except in extraordinary circumstances, such as if a performer becomes incapacitated or passes away during production. In such rare cases, Pine Coast companies may use AI to complete their performance only with prior consent from the performer or their next of kin.

We also recognize the importance and artistry of background actors and extras. Pine Coast companies will continue to hire human extras whenever possible. AI-generated crowds or background figures will be considered only in scenes requiring vast numbers of participants (e.g., large-scale battle sequences, stadium crowds, etc.).

AI in Visual Effects and Animation

We recognize that AI-generated imagery can serve as a modern extension of traditional CGI. Therefore, we will allow its use only in the same contexts where CGI would customarily be applied — such as:

  • Animation
  • Environmental or backdrop creation
  • Visual and special effects
  • Enhancement or cleanup of practical effects

AI will never be used to create or alter a human performance without consent.

AI in Post-Production

AI may be used in post-production to support human technicians and artists, not replace them. Acceptable uses include:

  • Streamlining workflows
  • Correcting visual or sound inconsistencies
  • Fixing continuity or technical issues

All final decisions and creative adjustments will remain in the hands of human editors, colorists, sound designers, and directors.

Summary

Pine Coast Media Enterprises believes in the irreplaceable value of human creativity and emotional depth in storytelling. We view AI as a tool, not a creator. Its use within our productions will be intentional, transparent, and always secondary to the vision and craftsmanship of the humans behind the work.
